The Marketing unit is responsible for developing and executing all marketing, branding and communications strategies, policies and plans for the A.T.A. and the Aruba brand as well as executing all marketing related events.
The Marketing Executive contributes to the development and implementation of strategies and policies for the Marketing Business Unit. The Marketing Executive also acts as the right hand of the Chief Marketing Officer to support the operational objectives of A.T.A. and execution of marketing strategies. The Marketing Executive also provides functional support to different units that report to the CMO.
- Supports the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) by providing advice and actively contributing to the development and implementation of marketing strategies and policies for the Marketing Business Unit to support A.T.A.'s mission and long-term objectives;
- Acts as the right hand of the Chief Marketing Officer to support the operational objectives of A.T.A. and execution of marketing strategies;
- Analyzes research data to assess trends and challenges, translating findings into actionable plans and advice for the CMO;
- Analyzes internal marketing processes and policies, recommends adjustments to the CMO, and develops new processes and policies for implementation aligning with A.T.A.'s operational goals and promoting consistency and efficiency across activities;
- Ensures and monitors effective execution of internal marketing processes and policies;
- Is responsible for a proper management and execution of large scale and/or complex marketing projects, guiding implementation across regional markets in North America, Latin America and Europe, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality execution. Provides regular progress updates and flags potential issues to the CMO;
- Leads the organization of marketing-related conferences and events in Aruba and oversees all aspects including establishing the objective and theme, session planning, speaker coordination, logistics and hospitality;
- Is Responsible for the planning and execution of internal marketing events and meetings with A.T.A. stakeholders and/or team members;
- Collects, organizes, and analyzes relevant marketing data from internal and external sources and translates this into an analysis to support decision-making;
- Prepares insights, presentations and reports for the CMO to inform strategic planning;
- Assists the CMO with the preparation of corporate plans, annual reports, budgets, strategic documents, and high-level correspondence;
- Compiles updates on project milestones, and development progress to ensure accountability within the Marketing Business Unit;
- Plans and prepares the internal marketing meetings including drafting agendas, drafting minutes, and following up on action items and deliverables.
- Ensures a positive and professional team spirit within the department, identifies mutual conflicts and ensures their resolution;
- Identifies and follows up on development needs and necessities;
- Conducts work meetings if necessary and inform employees about important themes.
- Bachelors’ degree in Marketing with affinity in tourism;
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
- Theoretical knowledge of marketing principles and practices;
- Knowledge and understanding of the (inter)national developments and the distribution system in the tourism industry and in the (sensitive) political and economic context of the product Aruba;
- Ability to analyze research data, assess marketing and consumer trends, identify challenges, and formulating solutions;
- Proficiency in using Microsoft 365 and ability to learn new platforms including project management tools;
- Skill in developing policies and advices;
